Blagdon
won the toss on a fine day at the Bartons and elected to bowl first
on a drying pitch.
Two tremendous run outs from Byas and Westbrook and two early wickets
from the pacey Nairn pegged Bishopston back to 32 for 4 and although
they fought back in the middle order, Byas with 4 for 15 ensured that
maximum bowling points were achieved and Blagdon only had to chase 107
for victory.
However, Blagdons nerves were soon jangling when the top 4 were dismissed
with a paltry 13 on the board. The new look middle order responded splendidly,
the highlight of which was a classy knock from Rich Edwards and with
quick fire contributions from Hughes, Byas and Nairn, Blagdon cruised
to victory in the 35th over.
