SUNDAY, 20 JUNE vs CLEEVE at CLEEVE (Friendly)
Blagdon 286-3, Cleeve 272-2 - Won by 14 runs

The younger and less experienced of our U11's were given the opportunity to play an Away friendly game versus a similar comprised Cleeve team and gave a very good account of themselves. They lost only 3 wickets whilst accumulating a total of 286 runs with Craig McAuliffe, George King; Jordan Payne and William Powell all performing particularly well with the bat.

As always with the youngsters at the lower end of this age group bowling is not always an easy task and extras bolster the total but we fared better in this respect than Cleeve giving away less runs. The end result was that although we took one less wicket we managed to keep their run total down to 272 runs so winning by 14 runs.

Both teams provided an entertaining morning's cricket for all the watching parents and a return fixture is to be arranged at Home in due course.
