SUNDAY, 30 MAY vs UPHILL ARCHERS at BLAGDON
Blagdon 354-4, Uphill Archers 171-15 - Won by 183 runs

Wow, what a performance. Despite losing two players at the last minute and drumming in a couple of reserves the Under 11s managed the best performance of many seasons. Winning the toss and electing to field, captain Archie Wall then directed his team to bowl their very best against Uphill Archers. They all responded well and took 15 wickets with new boy Martyn Mail being the pick with 5-9 in 3 overs. They were bowled out for 171 in 20 overs.

Blagdon then embarked on a run-fest with an opening stand of 55 (surely the highest in U11 cricket) between Clayton Davies and Tom Blanchard. Ed Williams and Archie rounded up the innings trying to out-do the openers. But despite some extraordinary running between the wickets, this pair only managed to equal the stand. Everything came right on the day and Blagdon scored 354 to win by 183 runs.
