SUNDAY, 3 JULY vs CLEEVE CRUSADERS at CLEEVE
Blagdon 306-3, Cleeve Crusaders 174-14 - Won by 132 runs

On a balmy day at the beginning of July we were determined to carry on as we did in June, but we were without Tom who was on Corners duty. We needn't have worried as we posted the biggest win of the season.

Cleeve batted first and Wesley opened with a hat-trick as he got his line and length just right. This was a great reward as he has been working hard on this all season. He finished with 3-0-11-4. Alex Fudge, Will Gordon and Jordan Payne all weighed in with 3, 4 and 2 wickets as we bowled and fielded superbly. Cleeve did well finishing on 174 for 14.

Our batting was determined by the fact that 3 players needed to be elsewhere so the order was slightly skewed. Not that that seemed to worry anyone has Jordan top scored with a lovely 12no. This was a season best performance. Alex Henderson also did well on 8no and Gabriel would have top-scored had he not been out in the final over when he and Will Powell wanted to go past 320. We ended on a season high of 306-3 and it goes to show that when we only lose a few wickets we are almost impossible to beat.

A good game and now everyone wants to play the last game of the season. I wonder why? It could be because we are now 2nd in the league.
