MATCH REPORT
Both teams struggled to reach the 9 players we each had, due to holidays etc.. Nailsea lost an early wicket, but with 2 inspired innings from R Salisbury (56) and M Barnes (n/o 76) we were always going to be chasing this match. Tom Williams unsettled a couple of their middle order batsmen getting them both out for ducks and ended with our best bowling figures (2-18).
From the start we had to go for it but this inevitably left us wide open for being bowled and caught more readily than usual. Reasonable innings from Adam Burroughs (15) and Alex Chapman (13) were only outdone by a borrowed player/friend of Alex Wall, Ed Demoraville knocked an enjoyable 35. But against good bowling from M Rowcliffe (2-25), T Ritchens (3-31) and R Salisbury (2-14) we fell well short of the target.
