MATCH REPORT
Another lovely day for a game of cricket. Feeling quietly confident that this match could be within our reach, concentration a key. Start slowly, with a below run rate because of some very good bowling. Good and solid batting from Rhys Davies (37) and Adam Crooks (24). Lloyd Davies started well but was run out for 11 just as he was getting his eye in, lots of potential as he gets older. Unfortunately we ran out of overs due to Optimists tight bowling, 5 overs from both Hemmings (2-19) and Hopper (1-12).
Optomists
came into bat and immediately started to knock the ball about. They achieved
the target without loss in just under 15 overs. P Sykes (31) and S Long (48)
took it in their stride, and although we were well beaten it was still good
to watch.
