Match Report: This game started half an hour early at 5.45pm and was restricted to 18 overs because of the evenings drawing in. Blagdon U13s batting first got off to a flying start through openers Will Yard(28) and Archie Wall(17) but after their dismissals the remaining 8 batsmen ( no show from Wesley Cox ) could only muster 11 runs between them and Blagdon were all out for a very disappointing 63. To Blagdons credit with four overs each, Will Yard,Ed Williams,Harry Church and Archie Wall contained Bristol to 63 runs for nearly 16 of the allotted 18 overs and nearly pulled off the impossible. Tom Blanchard deputising as wicketkeeper did in the circumstances an excellent job in keeping the score in check. Bristol overhauled Blagdons modest total with just over 2 overs to spare. |
