| Match Report We were surprisingly put into bat by Cleeve’s 1st team with their fielders having to endure 28 degrees heatwave temperatures on a good batting track. Our higher order batting was steady with Adam Martin hitting 15 and Clayton Davies 14. The star of our innings was opener Tom Blanchard who carried his bat with an undefeated 81, maintaining a batting average of 64. Some of Tom's strokes were awesome, including 2 sixes, from the Somerset C.C. U12s county player. With 4 regular players unavailable and one short on the night we nevertheless ended on a good score of 130-8 in the allotted 20 overs, setting the visitors 6.5 runs an over to win. Cleeve’s opener J. Baqoe batted well for his 31 runs before falling to our ace spin bowler Harry Church who took 3 wickets on the night. Our recent newcomer Andy Collier also took 2 wickets in one over, bowling the batsmen on both occasions. Cleeve finished on 92 for 9 at the end of their 20th over giving us our 3rd league victory of the season by 38 runs.
