Match Report
For the second consecutive week Winford won the toss but this time elected to bat first. However, they were not able to take an advantage and found themselves 4 wickets down with just 10 runs on the board after 5 overs. We had them on the rack thanks to the tight bowling of Tom Blanchard (2-9), Alex Fudge and Harry Church doing the early damage.

After this positive start we changed the bowling around but this let Winford off the hook and they went on to make a reasonable 62 off the 20 overs.

An early LBW for Blagdon left opener Tom Blanchard to build an excellent partnership of 37 runs with no 3 Martyn Mail. Tom went on to make 25 while Martyn hit an anchorman-style 13 before being run out.

With rain and darkness closing in we reached our target on the first ball of the 19th over to record a win in the first league game of the season.

Managers Comment
This was another good bowling performance with some excellent fielding. The middle order batsmen showed some improvement on the previous week but still some way to go.
